Expert Commercial Plumbers Serving Midlands Businesses
You need a plumbing company that is experienced and will get things done – correctly – on your schedule. Kay Plumbing has been serving South Carolina since 2008. High standards and excellent workmanship are two of our biggest priorities, and hundreds of positive reviews over the years show it.
Commercial Plumbing Services We Provide
Whether you’re renovating your property and bringing the plumbing up to modern ADA standards or you’re having an emergency in your industrial plumbing system, our plumbers can help you.
Industrial Plumbing Services
Depending on your trade or the kind of research you do, you handle heavy chemicals that can be dangerous to staff, customers, and the environment. If your building is very large, then even a small plumbing issue can build up into something huge quickly. You need a reliable plumber who is equipped to handle anything that comes up in your facility.
ADA Restroom Services
If you’re building a new office or renovating one or more of the bathrooms on your property, you need to make sure it meets ADA requirements. If you’re not an expert, it might be hard to understand ADA standards, especially once they start overlapping with local building code. We can help you understand what fixtures meet the standards and what needs to be in your restroom so it can legally operate.
Commercial Drain & Sewer Services
An issue with your drains or septic systems can rapidly become costly. If you need a grease trap or drain cleaning, a sewer line inspection, or you have a clog that needs a powerful service like hydro-jetting to fix, you need help before problems start building on each other. Kay Plumbing can answer your phone call the same day you make it.
Commercial Water Heater Installation & Repair
A good water heater is one of the most important plumbing fixtures on your property: You can pretty much never operate a business if you don’t have hot water. If you have an emergency, it needs to be repaired immediately. If you’re looking into upgrading your water heater’s capacity or model, you need a plumber who will listen and give you advice based on your business.
Backflow Prevention & Testing Services
Wastewater has a legally defined treatment process for a reason. If you’re concerned it’s backing up into your water line or leaching into the ground, you need it checked immediately to prevent any potential harm. If you’re looking to prevent backflow issues, we can inspect your system.

Commercial Plumbing FAQs
What is the difference between residential plumbing and commercial plumbing?
The key difference between residential and commercial plumbing is scale. A residential system is typically contained to your home. A commercial property’s plumbing is generally going to experience heavier usage, may have multiple floors and thousands of square feet of specialized and normal plumbing to accommodate, and will need to meet different building codes and regulations than a residential property. Even if your business isn’t in a very large building, it’s likely going to be better to choose a commercial plumber for your needs because they will have greater knowledge of what you legally need to operate than a residential plumber probably will.
What is considered a plumbing emergency for a commercial property?
Generally, the same things you’d consider an emergency at home are going to be an emergency at your business. The difference will most likely be urgency – a clog at home can often wait until morning if you can’t fix it yourself, but the same can’t always be said about a clog at your business. Here are a few things you should always call an emergency plumber for:
Immediate health dangers to your staff and clients – like a suspected issue with your gas line or a known gas leak, or issues with your sewer line causing sewage to back up in your drains or to leach into your potable water.
Anything that puts the foundations or structural integrity of your business at risk.
Anything that forces you to stop operations until it is repaired.
What are signs I might have wastewater backflow problems?
Backflow issues can cause health problems in people and animals, negatively impact the environment, and even cause structural concerns to the rest of your property. There are a few common signs you have an issue with your backflow preventer:
- Employees or consumers are having physical health issues, and your water is the only common connection.
- There is an odor or odd taste to your water.
- You have water leaks with no other clear cause.
- You have slow drains but otherwise clean pipes.
- You have uneven water pressure.
Many municipalities require backflow testing annually, so make sure you know the local regulations. If your municipality has a different requirement, you should still have your system tested at least that often to make sure there are no preventable problems.
