While every plumbing issue is an emergency for some folks, when its your business and you have to have help, this local Kay Plumbing Team knocks it out of the park. They are professional and you can almost hear it in the scheduler's voice that she's going to find a way to help you as fast as they possibly can. Matt and his assistant replaced the osmosis filters with only a small problem with one of the filters. They replaced the filters under the house for the toxin shield. We have had no leaks under the kitchen sink. The bill was $1222.81 after discounts were applied and we were shocked at the prices we were charged for the 3 toxin filters and 3 osmosis filters. Discount Filters had the set of osmosis filters kit in stock for around $100 and my Kay bill for the filters was $565 minus a $56 discount. I was charged $805 minus an $80 discount for the 3 toxin filters and though I do not know the exact name Kay used, I found filters in the $70s on various sites.Posted on Google

Barbara Arnold18 days agoThe two technicians, one of whom was named Austin (I didn't catch the other technician's name), were timely, professional, and very friendly. They took extra care coming in and out of our home because we have a cat that likes to sneak outside, which we really appreciated. They were thorough in their inspection, explained everything clearly, and we received a detailed estimate within an hour after they left. M was incredibly friendly, helpful, and professional when I called to schedule my appointment. She made the whole process easy and stress-free. Matt, the technician who came out, was phenomenal. His experience and knowledge were obvious from the moment he arrived. He quickly unclogged my drain line, but what really impressed me was that he took the time to thoroughly inspect everything and caught other issues that could have turned into a much bigger—and much more expensive—problem if they had gone unnoticed. I'm so grateful he found them before it was too late. It's rare to find a company that combines excellent customer service, honest work, and genuine expertise, but this team absolutely does. However, I was shocked by the price. She was charged $348 to replace a toilet fill valve—a part that costs around $20. The entire job took maybe 30 minutes from start to finish. I understand that plumbing companies have overhead, labor, and service call costs, but charging $348 for such a simple repair seems excessive. Tim Land48 days agoHad a issue with both showers. In the master the drain actually broke from the pipe. I went under the house to assess the situation, I have some plumbing skills, and found the second leak. Realized this was beyond me. My brother told me he had used Kay. Called, they had a crew there in about half an hour and the job done in a little over three hours. Very happy with their work, a great crew did the job. 2nd service. Excellent, Excellent, Excellant. Derek asked what was wrong and went under the house to check. He told me what he found and how he would fix it and how long it would take. Eric60 days agoI'm writing this on behalf of a family member. The experience we received was about as bad as it gets without breaking any written law. The plumber/salesman pushed a kitchen fixture that just short of $1000. Yes not a typo. PLUS installation bringing grand total of $1127 for a kitchen faucet that was defective and leaks as well as the fittings on the house side still leak which was the reason for embarking on what has become a fiasco. When I mentioned the outrageous price to my trust advisor she reached out and got a real heart felt apology. Basically, I feel like because of a unique situation where we walk into it wide eyed proved too tempting for someone with the heart of a sleezy used car salesman. So lesson learned and if they can live with it I can live without.Posted on Google

Harry Prim73 days agoOn Tuesday, 7/7/2026, the water pressure valve was adjusted and the tankless water heater serviced. We realized later that day that the water pressure was notably less across the entire house with hot water limited and cutting off easily. The next morning, this issue was reported back and a return service call was scheduled for the morning of 7/9/2026. During the follow-up visit, your plumber attempted to make adjustments at individual faucets rather than starting with the previously serviced tankless water heater. When he decided to do so, he said there would be a $200+ diagnostic fee and probably troubleshooting with the manufacturer via phone. Without hesitation, we promptly ended the service visit because he had no clue how to address our issue. We were able to contact another plumbing company who sent someone later the same day. This new plumber opened the water heater and found that the valve allowing hot water out of the unit into the house was effectively closed. He recognized the problem from our description and had it fixed within 2-3 minutes.Posted on Google
Barbara Suszek75 days agoI have hesitated to say what happened with your service. The man was a charmer and when finished replacing the flange and commode he called me to look at the finished product. I did so and told him the commode was crooked. He admitted this was true and fixed it . Then he put silicone around the commode only he didn’t put any in tha back or one side of the commode which I didn’t realize until after he left and I went in to further inspect. I saw a ver sloppy job with silicone coming out onto the grout in my tile. Now I have to hire someone else to come and finish the job. Kaye Plumbing sent another very professional plumber to remove the white silicone and replace it with clear silicone. It looks 109% better and we were extremely pleased with his performance. They did this at no charge to us. We would definitely use their services again.Posted on Google

Barbara Arnold81 days agoOur air conditioner stopped working around 8:00 p.m. We called several HVAC companies that advertised 24/7 emergency service, but Kay Plumbing, Heating & Cooling was the only company that returned our voicemail within 15–30 minutes. The technician, Konrad, who we later learned is the owner, came out immediately. Even though he had to leave to pick up the necessary part, he had our air conditioner up and running in about an hour and a half. To me, when the owner is willing to respond personally to an after-hours emergency, it shows they genuinely care about their customers. This was our first time using Kay Plumbing, Heating & Cooling, and they definitely earned our trust. We will not hesitate to call them again and highly recommend them to anyone needing prompt, professional service.Posted on Google

Darrel Greene82 days agoHIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! I Had an emergency plumbing issue and had to shut off water to my house. Kay Plumbing came out next morning to assess the job. Colt was very upfront and quickly advised me of the problem. He had it fixed in less than an hour he was finished and gone. I was so impressed by Colt's professionalism and timeliness, I asked to change another hose bib and pump underneath the house. He came next day and quickly completed the work. I am in the home services business also (Premiere Roofing) and it's nice to see fantastic service from the other side! Well done Kay! You have a customer for life! Update: I just used Kay again and Vio & Jared came to install a rough shower, drain, and all new lines for my bathroom remodel. Very professional, on-time, and knocked it out in one day! Randy Brock86 days agoMitchell and his apprentice arrived ahead of their service window and promptly got the job of flushing our tankless water heater underway. While that was ongoing they assessed options for another request we had and methodically walked us through the pros/cons of the various options. Once we decided on the most logical option, they proceeded with working up a cost estimate. Being recent transplants to SC, we are glad we were able to locate the professional services of Kay Plumbing. Update (6/26/24): We decided to go ahead with the option to add a spigot on the side of our house based on Mitchell’s assessment. Mitchell showed up on time and promptly went to work by accessing the water line in the outside wall of our master closet. He was very conscientious and was done within the time estimated including the clean-up in our closet. We strongly recommend Kay Plumbing for all your plumbing needs. 12/27/2024 We were prepping for dinner and had a sink clog and backup after we ran the garbage disposal…called Kay Plumbing immediately and even though it was just before 4pm on a Friday, they sent Jared right over. Jared was very polite & professional and diagnosed the problem and got right to work. By 5pm the problem was resolved and we were back prepping for dinner. Always enjoy working with the professionals at Kay Plumbing Heating & Cooling. From Amanda who promptly got us a technician, to their technicians who are very professional. Update 7/22/2025. Had Jared out to do our annual plumbing inspection & also flush/treat our tankless water heater. He was prompt and was able to complete his inspection & service put water heater in short time. He also got us signed up for the annual water heater maintenance agreement. We have always enjoyed working with the professionals at Kay Plumbing Heating & Cooling. Update 12/15/2025. Had David out to check our external tankless water heater following a significant decrease of hot water this morning after a very hard freeze overnight. The flow reestablish shortly before his arrival and we suspected a most frozen pipe. David confirmed our suspicions and inspected the unit for any possible damage. Thankfully there was none. Because we were Platinum service members the emergency trip charge was waved. We greatly appreciate the rapid response from Kay’s and the professionalism of their staff. Update 12/30/2025. Zachery came out today to perform our annual plumbing inspection as part of our Platinum service agreement. He was very professional and thorough as have all the Kay Plumbing technicians we have had. He inspected all of the plumbing components and function tested them. Many people neglect this inspection service bit I would highly recommend it as an annual preventative maintenance exercise. Update 06/24/2026: Butch came out today to i stall our new Toto Washlet toilet. He and his helper did a great professional job. We really do appreciate his professionalism and focus to get it done right. After the install he took the time to walk my wife through the functions of the Toto. I’m on a fixed income and Kay Plumbing has more than doubled their price since I have become a contracted customer. Matter of fact I have the Gold plan with them which. is good.The plan cuts all cost down to little or nothing out of pocket and also , overall cost. Also overall when you have a plumbing issues, the rep is very considerate in really resolving all issues and reassuring you that Your plumbing issue will get taken care of . This time was an inspection as part of the Silver Club membership program into which I enrolled during my valve stem repair done by Matt earlier in March. Today, Zackery and Cindy inspected my plumbing, found a slight problem I did not realize I had on a guest bathroom faucet (that could have caused major issues later) and addressed another valve stem issue of which I was aware in another bathroom shower. They were professional, respectful and were able to quote and repair both of those issues while on site. They gave quotes for 2 other items as I had requested. Highly recommend Kay Plumbing for excellent work, ease in scheduling, superior courteous communication, arriving as scheduled and completion of work during 1 visit. When I called they new what I wanted to do was add a separate drain for washer and even measured how much pipe I needed. After all that he said he had to call his Supervisor and he said can't do the job, but if I needed the same thing done for a dishwasher he could. I think it was too late to get done. Benton228 days agoOn January 29th, I broke a pipe leading to an exterior spigot while trying to remove an attached garden hose. Water began rushing everywhere, especially beneath the house. A call to Kay Plumbing Service had Matt O. and Mike immediatly directed to my house, and they arrived very quickly. They got the situation under control right away. They went straight to the problem in a very difficult to reach and worked in the wet, cold to repair the line and attach a new spigot. I am grateful that Kay was able to get help to the house so fast. Both Matt O. and Mike were easy to work with and passed along information on emerging problems they noted during the project. Stephen and David were on time, helpful with explanations, and proved cleanup and haul off after completion. I appreciate their service and their business attitude.
