Gas Line Installation, Maintenance, & Repair
Gas line installations and repairs should be handled by a plumber that is qualified and honest. Regular maintenance to help prevent unexpected repairs that could pause operations. Kay Plumbing is always upfront about what a large plumbing project like gas installation will cost, and we explain what we’re doing and why so you’re always informed.

Clog & Drain Repairs
Clogs can happen to anyone. Because of the size of your building, a blockage can cause issues in multiple drains before you know it. Kay Plumbing can bring specialized plumbing equipment to get deeper into your pipes than your snake drain or plunger might be able to, and we can provide same-day services.

Sanitation System Services
Your septic and wastewater system undergoes heavy use. Even with high-grade plumbing to accommodate wear and tear, it won’t always keep up. You need a qualified professional who understands the scale of the system they’re working with and can provide tailored solutions and assistance.

Oil Water Separator Services

Lab Plumbing Installation, Maintenance, & Repair
The correct handling of your plumbing is critical to prevent any hazardous chemicals from entering public water mains or interacting with the environment or staff. We recommend having a qualified plumber handle routine maintenance and any suspected repairs needed at your facility.

Safety Shower & Eyewash Station Installation
Depending on what materials your facility handles, eyewash stations and safety showers are necessary precautions in case of accidents. We’ll make sure you’re meeting code regulations, and we’ll answer any questions you may have. You know better than us what hazardous materials your staff regularly handles, so we’ll base our advice on what you tell us.
Solar Hot Water Heater Installation & Maintenance
Solar hot water can cut down on the cost of heating water. It might seem costly up front, but in the long run, it can add up to huge savings and the system generally needs very little maintenance. It can last well over a decade, too. Solar hot water may not cover all of your water heating costs, but the offset it can make on your utilities is worthwhile, and it benefits the environment, too.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if I have an issue with my gas line?
The sign we most often think of when we suspect an issue with our gas line is the smell of sulfur or rotten eggs. This sign doesn’t always appear, though, so you have to look out for other signs of a potential problem with your gas line:
- Staff, customers, or yourself have symptoms of physical illness, like nausea, lightheadedness, and dizziness, only while in the building.
- A hissing sound coming from your gas pipes.
- If one of your gas-powered fixtures is having issues, it may be an issue with that appliance’s connection to the line. If you have multiple unrelated appliances with gas-related problems, you probably have a much larger issue at hand.
- Patches of dying or dead vegetation on your property.
- Unexpected and high increases of your gas bill.
Regular gas line maintenance is crucial to keep your business running smoothly and to avoid unexpected and dangerous situations, like a gas leak inside your building.
How do I know if I have an issue with my sewer line?
There are multiple signs to look out for if you suspect your sewer line needs some kind of repair:
- You have multiple clogged or slow drains.
- There is a bad smell in your building, especially around plumbing fixtures.
- There is a bad smell outside your building with no clear cause.
- You have backups in your plumbing.
- There are lush patches of greenery outside.
A plumber should be called out quickly to diagnose and repair the problem and make sure there’s no septic contamination going on. Sewage or wastewater that backs up in your drains, or which is leaking into the ground or into your potable water, is a serious health concern.
How do I know if I have an issue with my water line?
A problem with your water line might be harder to spot quickly without a huge sign, like a sudden loss of water pressure. Because of the size and complexity of your plumbing system, a small issue in the water line can quickly become a large, expensive problem. There are some signs to watch out for:
- A higher water bill than normal without a change in usage
- Patches of lush vegetation on your property
- Puddles forming under appliances that use water
- Puddles forming around your property, like in the street or parking lot
- Sinkholes on your property
- Signs of water damage on your drywall, or actively wet or dripping drywall
A broken water line can get expensive quickly. To avoid potentially severe water damage, you’ll need a plumber as quickly as possible.
How often should I have plumbing maintenance performed?
This will depend on what type of plumbing fixtures you have, their age, their use, and how heavily you use them. If you’re not sure and don’t know how to find out, feel free to give us a call. We’ll help you identify your maintenance needs based on the fixture in question even if you don’t choose our maintenance services so your business continues to function well.
What industrial plumbing issues are considered emergencies?
As in any type of plumbing, not every issue is an emergency. You definitely have an emergency on your hands if:
- You can’t fix the issue at all or without a high risk of causing more damage.
- The issue poses immediate danger or harm to your staff, the foundations of your building, and/or the environment.
- The problem forces operations to stop, like if you have no hot water.
What is the difference between commercial plumbing and industrial plumbing?
Industrial plumbing is more of a subset of commercial plumbing than a totally separate category. In industrial plumbing, buildings are larger – often multiple stories and thousands of square feet – which means the plumbing is more complex than for a smaller commercial property. Industrial buildings may also be specialized for a particular trade and have plumbing needs based on that. Finally, because of its size and depending on its trade, an industrial building will often have different code and material grade requirements for its plumbing system than a regular business in order to handle the heavy usage it will receive.
